Schneider Electric is hiring a Engineer II, Mechanical Systems Design in Izmir, 35. This is a full-time position.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Mechanical Systems Design Engineer & EcoFit Coordinator to support the growth and execution of our EcoFit business. This role combines technical engineering expertise with business coordination responsibilities, ensuring efficient execution of EcoFit opportunities from identification and quotation through project delivery and reporting.

The successful candidate will provide mechanical design expertise while acting as a key coordinator between internal teams, customers, partners, and global EcoFit stakeholders. The role is responsible for supporting tendering and project execution activities, driving operational excellence, maintaining business visibility through reporting, and contributing to the continuous improvement of EcoFit processes and best practices.

This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively balance technical responsibilities with cross-functional coordination, stakeholder management, and business support activities.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Design Engineering
  • Develop and support conceptual and detailed mechanical system designs related to EcoFit and modernization projects.
  • Provide engineering expertise for Ecofit solutions.
  • Support equipment selection, technical studies, engineering calculations, and technical documentation preparation.
  • Identify and assess technical risks while proposing mitigation actions.
  • Provide technical support during proposal, execution, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance phases.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support root cause analysis for field and project-related challenges.
EcoFit Program Coordination
  • Act as the focal point for EcoFit business coordination activities across the organization.
  • Coordinate EcoFit initiatives between Sales, Tendering, Project Management, Service Operations, Supply Chain, and Technical teams.
  • Ensure alignment between local priorities and global EcoFit strategies.
  • Drive communication and collaboration with global EcoFit communities and business leaders.
  • Support the identification, prioritization, and execution of EcoFit growth opportunities.
  • Track key actions and ensure timely follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
Tendering & Project Execution Support
  • Support Tendering teams in developing technical and commercial EcoFit proposals.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure smooth project handover and execution readiness.
  • Monitor project execution progress and support issue resolution across stakeholders.
  • Ensure quotation, order, execution, and delivery processes are coordinated efficiently.
  • Support execution teams in maintaining project schedules and meeting customer commitments.
Intra Group (IG) Opportunity Management
  • Manage and coordinate Intra Group (IG) quotation and order management processes.
  • Ensure timely creation, follow-up, and conversion of opportunities into executable projects.
  • Work closely with sales, tendering, and service teams to maximize business opportunities.
  • Track opportunity pipelines and provide regular status reporting.
Business Reporting & Operational Excellence
  • Prepare and maintain EcoFit business performance reports and dashboards.
  • Monitor business KPIs including:
    • Opportunity pipeline
    • Quotation conversion rate
    • Order intake
    • Revenue realization
    • Project execution performance
    • Customer satisfaction indicators
  • Provide business insights and recommendations to management.
  • Support forecasting activities and management reviews.
Best Practices & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop, document, and promote EcoFit best practices across the organization.
  • Share lessons learned and success stories with local and global teams.
  • Drive standardization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, templates, and governance practices supporting EcoFit growth.
  • Support strategic initiatives and transform high-level priorities into actionable execution plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, project engineering, service operations, or related technical roles.
  • Experience in electrical distribution, power systems, industrial facilities, EcoFit, modernization, retrofit, or service projects is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of project lifecycle management, tendering, and project execution processes.
  • Experience working in customer-facing and cross-functional environments.
  • Proficiency in engineering design tools and technical documentation.
  • Fluent English, written and verbal.
