Function Overview:

Accounting and Tax Manager position represents local stewardship of accounting principles in practice including but not limited to tax reconciliation and filings to tax office, closing of the month and Q ownership. SME on local GAAP and its reconciliation to US GAAP, working at the same time closely with business stakeholders, ESC O2C, RtR, P2P, Tax and be first point of contact for ECAR related questions and adjustments. Engage with External/Internal Audit/Taxation authorities to ensure full ownership and excellence in all Group/Statutory/Internal/Taxation/Regulatory audits. Conduct review and approval of cash flow forecasts. Review and validate monthly FX forecast. Support Elanco’s development and assist the business in establishing its working capital management rhythm.

Responsibilities:

• Local ERP reconciliation accounts preparations and consolidation of S4 entries incl adjustments ones or tax reporting,
• Preparation of quarterly and yearly tax reports,
• Ensure double control from tax advisors,
• Monitoring and Supervision for Jr Accountant for accounting entries on full trial balance,
• Act as a mentor for task and knowledge transfer,
• Improvement on accounting processes including but not limited to monthly vendor invoice bookings e invoice, e archive, and freelancer invoices for e ledger correctness,
• Direct contact for independent tax auditors in liaise for SME topics with country CFO,
• Preparation and adjustments bookings related to inflation accounting,
• Steering projects: New change request development if necessary with RtR team to ensure compliance of S4 (fx revaluations run, fx difference on material during imports),
• Material Ledger monitoring, S4 and Local ERP differences- identify errors and fix,
• Ensure timely and non-interrupted ICO payments in EUR and USD,
• Following and controlling local law updates and get related actions to Turkey LT,
• Prepare periodic Stat to US-GAAP reconciliation/bridge for internal purposes,
• Review and analyze monthly results during each closing to ensure the accuracy of reported Trial Balance,
• Lead the timely completion of statutory, tax and corporate audits as required,
• Full supervision of the TB with responsibility of reconciliation, comments and approval sections,
• Authorized approver within company defined limits for VIM invoicing, eCIR, SPOT manual invoice payment or no invoice postings,
• Preparation of provisional tax and corporate tax reports,
• Leader of the independent tax audit, including preparing data and act as first point of contact as per Bobi FRS standards,
• Informing and presenting the CFO about the results of the transactions made at the end of the month,
• Improve the fx position with timely deposits, and/ or fx spot deals,
• Mentor and Coaching new members on Company Accounting topics and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor or MA degree in the field of Economics, Accounting, Management.
• Required Experience: CPA in local GAAP, VuK experience, US GAAP knowledge with minimum senior experience of 4-6 years, people management experience 1-3 years,
• Accounting Control and Tax,
• Fluent Turkish and advanced English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA - public accountant in local GAAP (Turkey VUK laws),
• SAP FI, RtR, P2P, MM modules experience,
• Steerer of accounting team, applying in practice the standards,
• People, Business and Process Acumen.

Additional Information:

• Travel: minimum requirement of 5% from working time.
• Location: Turkey.
