Role & Responsibilities

The China Digital SC & Plan Capability Lead is a critical leadership position, responsible for digital SC transformation and plan capability improvement in China. This role will lead China E2E SC digital transformation, to develop China digital SC strategy in sync with MT China digital strategy and global SC digital strategy, oversee digital initiatives across E2E functions for synergy and scalability, adopt new digital technology, lead digital PoC as test & learn for scale up, promote digital culture and build digital capabilities across end-to-end functions to enable China Future 2030 strategy. In addition, this role also responsible for E2E SC performance management and improvement, including but not limited to, supply chain dashboard, end-to-end master data management etc; planning strategic capabilities deployment, such as demand planning, inventory management, IBP maturity improvement etc; as well as coordinating customer collaborating strategies and solution development.

With expertise in end-to-end SC performance improvement and digital capability, this individual will proactively:

• Lead the development, execution, and acceleration of digital SC transformation through leveraging innovative data and digital solutions to drive value for our customers and stakeholders

• Partner with China E2E SC leaders to set the strategic direction for digital capabilities and establish the roadmap and manage the overall execution of the digital transformation within the organization

• Elevate the organization's digital acumen and skillsets through a targeted talent strategy to develop and source critical competencies to support the strategic roadmap

• Liaison with region/global supply chain digital team and commercial digital team to ensure a synergized digital strategy across the company, information and best practices are shared and resources are fully leveraged

• Lead supply chain performance management, includes dashboard reporting and root cause analysis; end-to-end master data maintenance for product life cycle management;

• Connect with region/global SC for plan capability improvement, includes IBP maturity, demand planning capability, inventory management etc.

• Partner with commercial channel department to support customer capability improvement

This position reports to VP, MedTech Supply Chain, China.

Critical Success Factors

• Demonstrated depth knowledge of healthcare industry, customer/market insight

• Demonstrated depth knowledge of end-to-end supply chain (Plan, Make, Source, Deliver, Quality)

• Effective interdependent and proactive partnering with key stakeholders of China E2E Supply Chain functions and commercial partners, and MT Supply Chain Organization on a regional and global basis.

• Ability to explore and adopt new technologies to accelerate digital and innovation agenda

• Ability to lead with limited authority and provide direction and drive positive change, with end-to-end and enterprise mindset.

• Ability to drive innovation, prioritize and collaborate in a heavily matrixed environment.

• Ability to coach and develop talents, and elevate organizational capabilities. Experience and key competencies

• Minimum 15 years' working experience, with a proven leadership track record in a complex Supply Chain environment or in relevant field/industry where digital solutions are heavily utilized

• Knowledge of supply chain data sources with a proven track record of developing and successfully implementing strategic programs using multiple data sources for achieving business objectives

• Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, AI, modeling, simulation, etc.

• Demonstrated relevant experience in large scale digital projects/programs will be advantageous.

• Good analytical and problem solving skills

Education

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, business or supply chain disciplines required.

• Graduate degree/studies in science, business, engineering, finance or organizational management or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
