Description:
Description The CBI Lead is responsible for leading the identification of consumer and marketplace insights with outside-in views from market dynamics and consumer/shopper & HCP & competitor knowledge and providing objective support & recommendation as a trusted business partner to internal and external stakeholders. As the Manager, you will have a greater degree of impact on business results (drive the decisions, ensure plan sufficiency, Operational optimization, win in the competition) and typically manage a group of professionals with different competency areas (Business Competencies and Technical Competencies) and personalities:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead team to translate market and primary research data analyses into strategy recommendations that enable strategic decision and drive business growth.
- Secondary Market Data Analysis
- Identify and analyze market trends and drivers
- Analyze and report market share gain/lost and drivers as well as other OKRs (penetration etc.)
- Customized Primary Research Design and Analysis
- Lead primary market research Qualitative and Quantitative projects to understand consumers and HCP needs and deep human insights
- The projects cover fundamental category understanding (U& A, Shopper study, Incidence and treatment rate tracking etc.) and brand health tracking (brand KPIs, switch in & out, brand equity, brand imagery, etc.) and execution optimization (Concept/Copy/Package/Indication test, etc.) and other types (Channel Fair Market Value study, Competitive intelligence, etc.)
- Lead other CBI deliverables
- BP learning & budget plan, Factbook and other BP supports required by stakeholders to ensure plans are built with key business drivers in mind and sufficient to deliver financial goals
- Category growth forecast across channels
- Support regional CBI mental availability & physical activities such as MMM for providing market/consumer data, etc.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
- Internal: China Local & APAC & Global across functions including Leadership team, Marketing (brand/Medical/Channel & Shopper), Sales across channels/brands, DDI, Finance, Procurement, Legal and Segment CBI, etc.
- External: Market Research and other related Suppliers such as consulting firms
- Manage, Empower, Coach and Develop people
- Lead and manage a team of professionals to ensure successful execution of projects and initiatives and maximize team efficiency to impact business with existing resources
- Support people career development needs
Required Qualifications - 8-10 years of related experience in OTC and FMCG industries for both market data and market research roles
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams with diversified individuals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Ability to translate data and analyses into insightful and impactful recommendations (connection the dots, storytelling, influencing)
- Experience in identifying and recommending research methodologies and preferred suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- University/bachelor's degree or Equivalent

- A trusted partner for both internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Ability to generate and present consumer and marketplace insights on a global or regional or local market scale
- Ability to synergize secondary market data and primary market research
- Proven ability to lead and manage market research and competitive intelligence projects
- Proven ability to lead market data analysis and data visualization
