Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Drives product management through innovative strategic and tactical plans.
- Meets with customers to develop and maintain long-term relationships and promote sales.
- Develops pricing and strategies to meet customer needs and/or reduce production costs. Sets direction and priorities of sales efforts.
- Develops and achieves sales budget and incentive goals.
- Oversees relationships with plants that service customers in the assigned territory, product area, or accounts.
- Provides management with sales analytics related to budget, sales achievements, and market penetration.
- Oversight and responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and customer late payments.
- Responsible for sales activity reporting.
- Communicates goals and objectives, applies company policy, staffs, trains, coaches, recommends salary increases, ensures positive colleague relations and reviews the performance of colleagues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of experience including 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge and Skills
- Possesses in-depth experience in sales, specifically managing strategic accounts.
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and is an active listener.
- Possesses excellent time management skills, and the ability to plan, direct, and manage towards future goals and objectives.
- Possesses solid leadership, management, and coaching skills.
- Possesses strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform cold customer calls and follow up on leads.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Travel may be required.
