ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a relationship focused Key Account Manager with experience of managing global and regional industry leading customers. Reporting to our Director of Global Key Accounts, and based out of Shanghai, you will oversee the key accounts of customers based in China.

This is an important position as part of a highly experienced global team that will involve maintaining existing and high profile customers and ensuring partnerships are sustained with internal and external partners.

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Builds a key account plan and works together with the business to develop the local and regional key account strategy aligned with the business.

  • Meets with global key accounts to promote the profitable sale of Greif products.

  • Works with the business, marketing, product managers and other departments to develop Greif’s “value proposition”, pricing strategies – then manages and implements these strategies with sales colleagues.

  • Manages the sales analysis system to provide accurate sales data to the sales organization.

  • Works with the leadership and the business to insure and coordinate efforts in achieving legendary customer service.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

  • Significant experience in key account management of the sales of global, multinational companies within a B2B organisation.

  • Heavy industry experience, preferably chemicals, lubricants, oil & gas, and related sectors.

  • Able to build, invest in and develop rapport with customers to ensure trustworthy relationships.

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.

  • Ability to travel in China and across Asia.
