Job Description - Key tasks

  • Providing the leadership to one highly skilled, fully integrated and vastly efficient Delivery team (Project Management, Project Engineering, Field and Technical Services), within FSA.
  • Utilizing the same processes and procedures across the full portfolio of the business, driving a culture within the team of improving GM and Revenue throughout the project and services lifecycles while keeping customer service at the highest level.
  • As part of the Cluster leadership team be a visionary to the future business, driving the strategic objectives set to expand the portfolio of offerings and grow the business year on year.
  • Communicate the objectives of the business in a clear and consistent message to the Delivery team and ensure these are achieved.
  • Support the Cluster Delivery Leader in managing day to day operation of Delivery (Project Management, Engineering & Services) and Sales Support activities and other activities as required, to ensure successful delivery of the Cluster project portfolio.
• Ensure the Delivery team within FSA are fully engaged and have the skills and tools necessary to support the Delivery Team in the execution of projects and services to our customers and delivery of the project portfolio.

• Consolidate with the Project Delivery Manager at the Cluster level all project governance activities, processes, tools and reports.

• Functionally manages a group of Project Leaders, Engineering Manager and Services Manager as assigned.

• Through a team of Project Leaders, Engineering Manager and Services Manager, is responsible for managing the resources, project management, technical capabilities, and project activities of the Cluster.

• Perform day to day line management of direct reports, including management of attendance, expenses, discipline, and grievances.

• Play an instrumental role in the improvement of standard delivery processes and procedures and ensure they are effectively and appropriately used across the delivery team.

• Support and assist with Company programs and initiatives.

• Ensures adherence to project governance and cadence policies as set by the Global Delivery Organization (GDO). This includes updating internal reporting tools and the preparation and presentation of project status at any internal project reviews.

• Ensure continuous improvement of standard delivery methods and processes to drive efficiency and world class delivery to our customers.

• Ensure consistency in project execution according to Customer Project Process (CPP) and company/ international/ global standards across the Cluster.

• Drives adoption of and compliance with global project governance and cadence tools and processes.

• Provides leadership to ensure that PA delivers quality solutions to regional clients while achieving customer satisfaction and targeted business objectives.

• Ensure that the Delivery team are delivering in accordance to defined quality processes and metrics, highlighting observed trends and behaviours that may be taking us off course from achieving financial targets and commitments. Overseeing the implementation of any corrective actions or adjustments.

• Align all Delivery team for successful project execution and delivery to achieve customer satisfaction.

• Ensures successful delivery and execution of the cluster project portfolio.

• Provide strong collaboration and working partnership between the delivery and finance teams.

• Responsible for communication with stakeholders at all levels within both the customer and Schneider Electric organisations.

• Developing partnerships with key customers, system integrators and third parties.

• Ensure portfolio alignment with corporate strategies, monitor, track and analyze project financial performance, Delivery insights and trends and report to the Delivery Leader.

• Ensure across the countries forecasting accuracy and implement robust project budgeting, cost control and forecasting processes for accuracy in revenue and gross margin.

• Travel for customer meetings both within country and abroad as required by the assigned projects. Most international interactions are virtual.

• As part of this function, engages in strategic planning to meet all regional objectives and is equally accountable as a member of the team for the completion of all Delivery objectives.

Qualifications

What qualifications will make you successful in this role?

• 10+ years related professional experience typically in the field of Process Automation

• 5+ years in Management roles and previous experience as a people Manager.

• Experience in Project Management & Engineering.

• Vast experience in a system, software, process automation or application engineering capacity with industry knowledge and experience.

• Proven ability to strategically deliver the best results in a digitally transforming environment with agility.
Knowledge and experience in Project financial control.
