About the Role: Solution Engineer - Secure Power Application Center Japan

We are looking for Solution Engineer to handle Secure Power projects in Japan. Main activities of this role are to provide technical support of our Datacenter Products for prospective clients, related vendors, and Schneider partners on Sales Stage and Project Execution Stage. Solution Engineer actively participate in the customer project to provide suitable Schneider solution to clients and helping clients from technical aspect.

What will you do?
  • Provide technical sales assistance to Account Managers including the site visits, hearing customer requirements and adjusting or proposing system specification. Primarily focus activities on our UPS, Cooling products for Datacener.
  • Identify customer requirements and translate into a solution, provide technical support including proposal creation and detail design on each project stages.
  • Provide Schneider products / Solution and concept presentations to prospective clients, related vendor, and Schneider partners.
  • Join to Sales or Internal business related activities as technical expert.
  • This individual would be involved project organization on the execution stage as Project Manager or Application Engineer considering project size, complexity, etc.
Who would be successful?
  • Comprehensive and In-depth understanding of customer's Mission Critical Infrastructure, Cooling (incudling chillers) and associated needs and issues of customers operating in a multi-location environment.
  • Strong communicator - both written and verbal in technical and non-technical environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrates effective time management skills.
  • Excellent business ethics and integrity.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in operational style to meet the requirements or multi-culture position.
  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent ( Electrical/Mechanical Engineering an advantage )
  • Certification and some technical training covering Generator Systems, MV & LV Systems, Large UPS Systems, Chiller Systems, Fire Protection Systems etc would be added advantage.
  • At least 7-10 years Electrical related engineering experience in the Mission Critical Infrastructure with both hands-on and supervisory level. Actual experience on DC or large server room fields would be added advantage.
  • Knowledge of some local installation Standards and Authorities Requirement. Certification of 1st Class Construction Managing Engineers in Japan.( Electrical)
  • Native Japanese and Conversational English skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to use and have basic skill in Visio and/or AutoCad and web based applications.
  • Proven skills in Mission Critical Infrastructure Best Practice Solution including Services and developing value propositions.
