Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible and accountable for Medical Affairs ME strategy of therapeutic/disease area (TA/DA) with Associate Director, and expected to demonstrate his/her leadership collaborating with other departments in the development and execution of ME strategy to maximize the impact of each product milestone as well as our robust data beyond publishing as part of Integrated Evidence Dissemination Plan.

This includes liaising with thought leaders, academic institutions, and internal stakeholders in order to drive medical education initiatives.

Senior Specialist(in addition to above)

  • Leads ME projects, including large/cross-functional activities independently, encourage members toward to success.
  • Resolves difficult and often complex situation or problems using in-depth professional knowledge or experience.
  • By utilizing networks with academia, patient advocacy groups, other relevant industries, takes a broad perspective to identify and develop solutions.
  • Serves as an advisor to others, and coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.

Manager (in addition to above)

  • Provide project leadership in a cross divisional/country project
  • Responsible for improving the performance and motivation of the group members and the DA team.
  • Responsible for talent development of the group in collaboration with Associate Director.
  • Contribute to talent development of ME in all DAs.

EDUCATION

Required: BA/BS

Desirable: MA/MS/MBA, Doctorate

RELATED EXPERIENCE:

  • Prefer 3-4 years related industry experience and with competency in any scientific role. Background should include a strong record of leadership, professional advancement and accomplishments.
  • Experience with complex business environments preferred
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry, preferably in sales, marketing, medical affairs, clinical development
  • Experience with customer relationship management is required (thought leader development, speaker bureau management, clinical training, etc)

  • Interpersonal flexibility to effectively interact with a broad range of personnel in a cross-functional team environment
  • Advanced presentation skills and business acumen as a necessity

  • Mastery of regulatory and legal requirements associated with pharmaceutical marketing and sales.

  • Domestic and international KOLs in responsible therapeutic area.
