Schneider Electric is hiring a Senior Procurement Engineer in Samut Prakan, 11. This is a full-time position.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Procurement Engineer is responsible for executing and monitoring procurement activities, as well as managing supplier performance in terms of Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and alignment with company strategy.

The Senior Procurement Engineer is responsible for executing and monitoring procurement activities, as well as managing supplier performance in terms of Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and alignment with company strategy.
- Propose and implement actions such as QVE (Quality Value Engineering), supplier changes, outsourcing initiatives, lean projects, new projects, project transfers, benchmarking, and market analysis within the assigned scope, in alignment with the commodity strategy.
- Act as Project Procurement Lead for new projects, managing procurement activities from the early design phase through product launch.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to ensure timely sourcing, supplier qualification, cost competitiveness, material readiness, and successful project implementation.
- Collaborate closely with Commodity Managers prior to localization initiatives or changes in business allocation.
- Manage supplier consultation and selection in accordance with the commodity strategy.
- Lead supplier qualification activities, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with local and strategic suppliers.
- Support purchasing database updates by providing necessary information to Commodity Managers and Supplier Leaders, including spend tracking and supplier-specific data maintenance.
- Serve as the first level of escalation for supplier crisis management.
- Monitor and drive quality improvement and cost reduction objectives through productivity programs and action plans, including QVE initiatives, supplier changes, and commercial negotiations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Initiate, define, plan, communicate, and execute projects related to supplier changes, QVE initiatives, and outsourcing activities to ensure successful implementation while prioritizing customer satisfaction, productivity improvement, and supplier capability development.
- Communicate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders and regional teams during project launch activities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of direct experience in Procurement or Sourcing of direct materials.
- Electronics & Mechanical expertise and knowledge. With similar industrial exposure to Electric/ Electronics/ automotive / Panel builder industry.
- Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and supplier development.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, from design release through mass production.
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite at Schneider Electric Manufacturing Thailand, Bang Pu Industrial Estate, Samut Prakan.
