Description:

Missions;

As part of the Execution Center team:
  • Act as the leader of the technical content of the project and be the single point of contact regarding all project technical topics.
  • Make sure customer technical requirements are fulfilled (in terms of performance, quality, costs, and time), in compliance with the contract, and based on the Architecture & Technical specifications defined during the tendering phase.
  • Lead a technical team composed of "customer project technical designers and engineers and ensure technical coordination of all projects stakeholders.
  • Lead all technical aspects of customer-integrated projects, such as design, implementation, testing, FAT.
  • Manage technical risks and interfaces between the project team stakeholders and the customer; and get final customer approval of the overall technical solution designed and delivered.
  • Support Sales or Tendering team during the selling phase to provide technical solutions to meet customers' requirement.
Scope and Environment
  • Part of a customer project execution/application center.
  • Project technical teams are located spread among one or several sites/countries in East Asia, requiring international collaboration with other functional teams/stakeholders.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Technical Team Coordination & Management
  • Lead and approve both basic and detailed designs for all technical aspects of the integrated solution, ensuring alignment with customer and contract requirements (technical performance).
  • Ensure the project's technical team delivers according to the project schedule.
  • Monitor technical costs and ensure the technical scope stays within budget.
  • Coordinate all technical implementation activities at factories, supplier premises, and testing facilities through to project closure.
Technical Coordination of Project Stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other technical designers/engineers responsible for parts of the technical scope.
  • Identify the need for specialized expertise and coordinate the involvement of subject matter experts as necessary.
  • Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of subcontracted project components, in close collaboration with the procurement team.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all stakeholders regarding the technical content of the project, ensuring effective technical coordination within the project team.
Design & Implementation (based on the individual's area of expertise)
  • Perform and review design and specification activities, leveraging Schneider Electric's portfolio of products and systems to optimize profitability and minimize technical risk.
  • May participate in implementation and testing activities (e.g., FAT, SAT) depending on the project requirements.
Risk & Opportunity Management, Change Management, and Alerts
  • Identify any deviations from the contract or previously agreed-upon designs.
  • Work closely with the PM to define changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and scope, leading to variation order approval.
  • Proactively alert the PM to any significant issues that could affect project performance or customer satisfaction.
Customer Interaction
  • Lead technical discussions and clarifications with the customer.
  • Serve as the trusted point of contact for all technical matters related to the project.
Quality Processes, Methods, and Tools
  • Support the PM in ensuring full compliance with Schneider Electric's internal processes (e.g., CPP, TDP), quality standards, safety requirements, and governance principles.
  • Lead the technical team in resolving any technical deviations or quality issues during project execution.
Community of Practice & Coaching
  • Participate in the Technical Leaders' Community of Practice within the Execution Center and globally within the Technical Excellence Community network.
  • Identify, document, share, and promote lessons learned and best practices.
  • Act as a role model and coach for junior engineers and designers.
  • Stay updated on the latest technical developments in relevant equipment and systems, acting as a subject matter referent within the Community.
Requirements and Qualification
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Fluent in English (TOEIC 700+ required) and Korean; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience leading technical scopes in projects related to Power Systems or Electrical Distribution Systems (including MV, LV, transformers, protective devices, switches, busway & cabling systems, protection relays, UPS, etc.).
  • Experience working in one or more engineering domains such as Power, Automation & Software, Telecom & IT, Cyber Security, Mechanical & HVAC, and Structural is an advantage.
  • Technical experience in specific market segments (e.g., Power GRID & Utility, Oil & Gas Production (OGP), Mining, Minerals & Metals (MMM), Food & Beverage (F& B), Data Centers, etc.) or in customer-specific applications/processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in using electrical and/or software tools for drawing, studies, and calculations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply relevant industry standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to convey technical issues clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn, share knowledge, coach colleagues, and collaborate effectively within teams.
