The Role:

We are seeking a talented professional to take on the role of a Supplier Quality Leader (Battery). In this role, you will focus on battery technology and play a critical role in the overall success of the Schneider supplier quality management. Acting as a key bridge between R& D, offer quality, procurement, Schneider plants, and the Component suppliers. Supplier quality leader is responsible for driving all supplier related activities to maintain a sustained supply chain and robust battery components quality, and battery supplier manufacturer process.

What will you do?
  • Define the battery component quality target with aggressive quality ambitions, closely monitor and drive resource to best fulfill.
  • Identify potential failure mode of battery at product design phase.
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) execution for new project launch and major change on product and process.
  • Identify battery supplier technical and quality risks and push for prevention.
  • Drive the root cause analysis and solve the problem in time with 8D method, in case of any quality issue or customer complaint.
  • Manage the regular audit and drive quality continue improvement.
  • Validate the supplier's corrective action plan and ensure the execution, coach supplier if necessary.
  • Act as an expert for battery technology, directly manage supplier critical / escalated issue from plants or Line of Business (LoB).
  • Influence the decision of supplier business strategy by quality performance.
  • Represent quality in front of suppliers to deploy and implement SE process and policies, ensure suppliers complied with SE requirement.
  • Work with category manager to motivate supplier for self-improvement spontaneously, build good collaboration and strategic partnership.
  • Train & coach suppliers for competence e.g. quality methodology, project management skills.
  • Strengthen the best practices and animate quality & technical community in the category, to drive the total category supplier competence and performance level up incrementally.
  • Work collaboratively with cluster / plant / LoB to collect feedback and drive correction actions.
  • Develop the process audit tools and checklist by category.


What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Min Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Min 7+ years of supplier quality management experience. Strong technology know-how on battery technology (mainly in VRLA, plus point on Li-ion).
  • Strong knowledge of quality methodology, e.g. FMEA, DOE, 8D, 6-sigma as plus point.
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and oral. Fluent in English communication.
  • Ability to work cross functionally in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated cross functional leadership.
  • Broad operations and project management experience.
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Demonstrate ability to drive and deliver strategic business plans and initiatives.
