What will you do?- We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at Schneider Electric Thailand. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in automation engineering, with a strong background in PLC M580 systems and Data Center projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead complex projects.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using PLC M580 systems.
- Lead and manage automation projects, particularly in Data Center environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in automation practices and technologies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve automation processes and systems.
- Prepare of information, drawing and documents during project execution stage.
- Be responsible of the consistency between customer expectation and the standard features.
- Ensure that projects are compiled in accordance with the Customer Project Process and Solutions Guidelines.
- Contribution in cost and price calculations. Calculate total project cost as well the project profit margin.
- Consider potential cost-effective alternatives Solutions through application of more suitable equipment, engineering and solutions.
- Coordination of project reviews and deadlines and adjust them to the frameworks given by the customers.
- Report the progress of the commissioning to the project manager
- Secure project approval from the customer within timeline; Manage project clarifications and
- Coordinate with all project parties to ensure closing of clarification points on time.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- More than 8 years of experience in automation engineering.
- Proven expertise in PLC M580 systems.
- Knowledgeable on Substation and Control system (CSCS), Electrical Network Monitoring & Control System (ENMCS), Protection Relay, Communication, Network design.
- Automation system design, programming, test and commissioning knowledge and site experience.
- Extensive experience in Data Center automation projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Fluent in English and Thai is preferred.
