The Role: EcoStruxure IT Pre-Sales ConsultantThe EcoStruxure IT Pre-sales Technical Consultant is responsible for providing Subject Matter Expertise for EcoStruxure IT technologies, supporting the sales cycle for new prospects and existing customers.
EcoStruxure IT technologies include Enterprise IT Device Monitoring software, Enterprise Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Software, Netbotz Environmental Monitoring hardware and Cooling Optimize.
The role is responsible for the day-to-day Technical Pre-sales activities, presentations and proof of concept activities for EcoStruxure IT technologies across all industries, with primary focus on the Sales and Pre-sales activities of the Schneider Electric Secure Power business.
The EcoStruxure IT Pre-Sales Technical Consultant collaborates with and takes guidance from the EcoStruxure IT Sales Manager & Secure Power Commercial Account Managers when working on Customer Facing opportunities and Sales pursuits.
What will you do?- Collaborate with and take direction from EcoStruxure IT Sales Managers and Commercial Account Managers in relation to opportunity strategy and priority.
- Articulate Schneider Electric EcoStruxure IT technology and product portfolio, positioning solution to both business and technical user audience.
- To attend meetings with prospects and customers to determine technical and business requirements and ensure that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution proposal.
- Manage the technical sales bid process by responding to RFI & RFP documents.
- Liaising with EcoStruxure IT Product Managers to provide feedback from clients about product requirements and improvements.
- Manage & deliver compelling proof of concept technical demonstrations.
- Responsible for actively driving and managing the technical presales process with direct, enterprise and channel customers.
- Confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally, to remote attendees and in-person attendees where required by local guidance.
- Deliver product and technical enablement to channel partners and internal stakeholders.
- Create internal design configuration documentation including network diagrams with technical explanations.
What qualifications will make you successful? - Background in Enterprise IT environments, prior experience either with IT Servers, Data Centers or related Enterprise IT software and services.
- Working knowledge of Operating Systems including Microsoft Windows and Linux.
- Basic knowledge of VMWare and virtualization technologies.
- Basic knowledge of Data Center protocols - SNMP & Modbus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce.com.
