PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position serves as the regional Warehousing and Distribution COE, responsible to strengthen functional expertise in strategic areas and improve operational capabilities, efficiency & excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead all regional Deliver excellence programmes across the Deliver CoE
  • Define business process standards, develop and execute on clear strategy and outline best practices to improve cost/efficiency/service
  • Define and execute regional process capability roadmap and solution deployments
  • Define and implement technology and digitalization solutions to support process capability maturity.
  • Support regional Deliver leadership in prioritizing investment in relevant areas to reach best in class performance
  • Act as escalation point to rapidly address critical process issues
  • Strengthen Continuous Improvement capabilities and culture. Lead JJOS (lean methodology) opportunity implementations for the region and drive business excellence throughout distribution
  • Identify and champion a talent development strategy (People Strategy) for high potential and high performing talent and design the organizational roadmap
  • Drive a culture of Safety & Compliance
Responsible for the following two pillars:

1. Warehousing and Distribution COE

• Design, Develop and Deploy Digitalization solutions to support cost / service improvement trade-off opportunities.

• Provide Logistics Tendering Support for 3PL solutioning, warehousing and operational design.

• Own warehouse transition playbook and transition project governance

• Technology ownership and solutioning across W& D (eg WMS/TMS etc)

• Continuous improvement culture maturity and lead LEAN programme deployments.

• Identify, pilot and scale high impact engineering and automation/robotic solutions for the region (eg voice pick, AGV, etc)

2. Supplier Relationship Management and Warehouse Transitions

• Manage the regional Supplier Relationship management program that promotes; supplier collaboration, thought leadership, bench-marking, innovation, and best-practice sharing.

• Provide Logistics Tendering Support for 3PL solutioning, warehousing and operational design.

• Manage warehouse transition playbook, transition/startup project governance and ensure all transitions are executed successfully.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

• Education and/or additional training: BA in Logistics/Supply Chain/Business required; Advanced degree like MA and MBA preferred.

• Lean/Six Sigma Certified, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement programs and culture.

• Min. 10 years in end-to-end supply chain related disciplines and a minimum of 5 years demonstrated direct people management experience is required.

• Deep expertise across core Order to Cash processes, with strong knowledge of transportation and Warehouse operational processes and systems (SAP, WMS, TMS etc)

• Previous experience managing warehousing operations preferred.

• Strong understanding of SAP processes in order-to-cash and procure-to-pay modules (SD/MM)

• Strong experience/understanding of process design, standards definition and implementation and building best practices in Operations efficiency

• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and service improvement from data driven insights.

• Experience in designing and deploying digitalization solutions for cost/service visibility.

• Strong Warehouse transition experience demonstrated from leading multiple warehouse transition projects

• Successfully lead multiple large scale / complex projects covering multiple markets, experienced with project management methodologies (eg, PMI/PMP, Prince2, FPX etc)

• Strong Customer focused orientation and pro-active attitude

• Experienced supplier management, with demonstrated cases of strong negotiation and influence to deliver

• Warehouse tendering support experience, including solution and facility design, partner negotiation, transition planning and issue management.

• Proficient understanding of supplier contracts, contract/legal clauses, and experience in mitigating contractual issues with suppliers.

• Track record of developing and building diverse, high-performance teams with a strong sense of mission, capable of navigating matrix organizations

• Skills to build an organization embracing a culture of functional excellence and continuous improvement

• E2E mindset and collaborative, influence-based leadership approach

• Ability to promote a vision and drive change to transform organizations, via strong engagement/communication

• Highly skilled communicator with demonstrated ability to synthesize large quantities of information and present cogent recommendations

• Highly collaborative and influential. Ability to work regionally and globally, across businesses units and functions, building strong partnerships internally and externally with strong customer focus.
