Business Unit Manager – Trauma, CMF and Power Tools
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:
Responsible for all the sales and marketing activities to achieve the business objectives within business policies and guidelines as well as departmental budget. At this level, the position has a greater degree of impact on the business results and typically, responsibility for managing a group of professionals. This job is not eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions.

This position reports to Commercial Lead, Orthopaedics, Singapore
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage team of sales representatives on the assigned territory.
Manage staffing and training.
Conduct performance evaluations.
Coach and motivate a sales team to achieve business goals.
Manages business development managers for new product introductions for Trauma.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Set the strategic direction for Trauma, CMF and Power Tools business units for Singapore.
Manage sales and marketing strategies for the franchise and execute the strategies through the sales team.
Implement marketing objectives, policies, sales organization structure, sales and marketing programs to achieve maximum sales and profit.
Portfolio optimization for the franchises to ensure NPIs are launched timely to refresh current product offerings to customers.
Review global product pipeline and provide local market insights on business potential in SG, driving a balanced approach between established products and new product launches.
Ensure forecasts, financial commitments, and demand plans are aligned to support new product launches.
Prioritize and propose investment opportunities to further advance growth of DePuy Synthes Trauma/CMF/Powertools business.
Communicate and track short and long range sales and marketing plans.
Research new markets and applications for volume growth.
Managing discount and pricing policy
Contracts renewal negotiations with government and private enterprises.
Conduct regular coaching conversations with the sales managers to drive sales force productivity and utilizing integrity selling model to achieve business objectives.
Ensure field sales organization is supported to access training efforts which are aligned to business strategy and adhere to Global Education Solutions (GES) Standards.
Develop and monitor departmental budgets.
Consistently promote and nurture the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and compliance at all times, including our Global Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
Requirement at least 8 to 10 years in medical device/ medtech sales
Sales or Product Management experience preferred
Prior people management experience required
A strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication & presentation skill.
Strong, demonstrated leadership qualities, driven by a passion to excel in a customer-centric and innovative organization
Strategic mindset to develop strong vision and strategy to drive business outcomes
