About the role

The Luxury Sales Manager is responsible for the development and execution of our luxury sales and On Premise plan for Penfolds in Philippines and help to deliver our volume and profit objectives. It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager with Private or On Premise channels where the role holder can establish and cultivate new business opportunities through private client sales, corporate partnerships and fine wine retailers management. The role holder is also expected to build an On premise strategies for the brand, aiming to expand the distribution in 5* restaurants and sales uplift in the channel. The role holder represent the brand as the ambassador, with a clear focus on growing the luxury portfolio of Penfolds through exceptional and bespoke experiences.

  • Priority focus in relationship management and ensure delivery of exceptional customer service, from recruitment and acquisition, through to the development and retention of the Luxury and High Net Worth clients
  • Responsible to grow and nurture high potential corporate, luxury brands and fine wine retailers’ partnerships while activating and building opportunities to grow the luxury portfolio
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and distribution of Penfolds portfolio in on-premise locations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at restaurants, bars, and hotels to secure Penfolds listing
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with on-premise accounts, ensuring favourable terms for both parties
  • Develop engagement plans and sales strategies to enhance awareness and experiences with our luxury portfolio
  • Host tastings and consumer experiences to unlock opportunities with new and existing partnerships
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and key distributors to bring exceptional experience to the private clients and customers
  • Development of high net worth consumer engagement and sales plan – deliver sales to target
  • Plan and execute promotional activities, tastings, and events at on-premise locations to drive brand awareness and sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials, advertising campaigns, and event activations tailored to the on-premise channel
  • Host tastings or educational training on site and external
  • Host or support Brand Ambassadors to provide immersive experience through wine events
  • Develop fine wine relationship with networks that service High Net Worth consumers such as banking, professional services, real estate developers, luxury fashion, luxury cars & watches
  • Achieve agreed growth targets through effective leadership of sales and indirectly cross functional teams. Growth goals to be achieved in terms of:
    • Revenue
    • Cases
    • Net sales / case
    • Gross Profit
    • Sales Contribution
    • Depletion
    • Distribution/listings with fine wine retailers - (Setting and achieving distribution targets for Penfolds)
  • Lead customer relationship management for all strategic accounts. Working with Business Managers to identify opportunities and implement strategies (internally and externally).
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure best in class execution, and significantly ramp up our in-store availability and presence across all domestic markets and use shopper insights where relevant to drive category captaincy with fine wine customers
  • Manage and develop relationships with senior level account contacts.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with Penfolds’ strategic customers and stakeholders across wine industry and organisations.

About you

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Economics or similar discipline, or equivalent
  • WSET (level 2 is required, level 3 is preferred) or similar wine education required
  • Experience in F& B, wine industry or luxury products
  • Outgoing character & enjoy meeting people
  • Building strong relationships, good team collaborator
  • High standards of commercial excellence and commitment to deliver results
  • Proven experience of private client management
  • Passionate for fine wine and spirits, keen to build expertise and pursue knowledge of the category
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills; excellent written and verbal communications are key priorities
  • Proven strong established network in Philippines
