Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines (JJIM) is currently recruiting for a
Head of Market Access to lead the Market Access strategy and implementation, including pricing, across all channels (government, self-pay, private health insurance and health maintenance organizations) for our Philippines business to bring innovative medicines to address patient needs in the Philippines.
As the Head of Market Access (MA), you are accountable for designing and executing integrated market access and pricing strategies for products or therapeutic areas aligned to the priorities of the cross-functional team (XFT). You will also be responsible for the management of the patient access programs (PAPs), associated compliance and training of internal staff and collaboration with third-party vendors who execute the PAPs. Policy shaping to improve likelihood of future government reimbursement is also under the leadership of the MA Head. The MA Head is accountable for shaping and aligning the priorities of the XFT, building strong relationships and effective collaboration with commercial and medical partners, at the local and regional levels, to obtained increased access to JJIM priority products. The MA Head will work with the local XFT team to ensure that any pricing cases are associated with a strong local pricing business case. The MA Head will also work with the SEA pricing team to secure pricing approval. The MA Head is responsible for representing JJIM in local stakeholder interactions with government, the industry bodies and other healthcare organizations such as private health insurers.
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
- Devise and execute Market Access strategy for key brands by being a core member of the XFT and shaping aligned XFT strategy. Input into BP / LRFP financial planning. Feasibility assessments for new products and local value messages. Represent the market access function at the Senior leadership team.
- Lead the development of Patient Access schemes, manages through direct report the operations (post implementation), the compliance, training and amendment of PAP SOP. Preparation for audits.
- Creation of compelling pricing business cases for new products and / or repricing cases and managing these through the approval process
- Exploring new access channels (ie self-pay or insurance)
- TA specific and above brand policy shaping by maintaining a deep understanding of market access and reimbursement processes and bringing this knowledge and insight into the strategic thinking of the XFT
- Manage and develop the Market Access team to ensure their career development and needs are addressed
- Science or related university degree with a higher degree or diploma in access (public health, health economics) preferred
- Minimum 5 years of Market Access experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of HTA, Pricing, Government policy shaping, compliance
- People management experience
