Position Description:

Provide technical support and farm consultation to key customers to demonstrate the value beyond Elanco products.

The position is accountable for ensuring the successful achievement of Technical Service’s goals in alignment with Sales, Marketing, and other functions, working closely with both Regional and Global Elanco teams. This role will also focus on the effective execution of Value-Added Services tools and consultation (for swine) to help customers achieve their performance goals and maintain and continue business with Elanco.

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

1. Technical Support and Expertise:

• Be the technical resource person for the Elanco food animal business, with a Swine specialization.
• Provide expert technical support to the Sales and Marketing teams to facilitate customer engagement, product positioning, and solution-based selling, such as the DFS (Disease-Focused Strategy) with key customers that align with company goals. Serve as the go-to person for complex veterinary technical issues.
• Review and provide assistance in the development of product-related materials, such as technical journals, brochures, FAQs, and presentations, ensuring they are technically accurate and aligned with company objectives.
• Collaborate with Marketing to review and approve promotional materials in the Veeva system, ensuring they meet technical standards and align with strategic objectives.

2. Execution of Technical Tools:

• Execute Elanco technical tools, such as EKS (Elanco Knowledge Solutions) including LLS, to utilize data in farm consultations with customers. Analyze results, generate reports, and provide actionable recommendations to drive customer success.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of technical tools and farm consultations identifying opportunities for improvement and enhancing customer value. Proactively suggest corrective actions and improvements to Regional and Global teams.

3. Industry Engagement & Professional Development:

• Participate in scientific groups and conferences (local, regional, or global) to stay updated on technical advancements and to continuously expand industry networks. Join industry groups like PCSP and/or PVMA.
• Establish being a subject matter expert (SME) in food animal practice (Swine) and present papers on study outputs. Improve by self-study, group discussions, internal and external trainings, and participation in independent animal health meetings.

4. Training and Education:

• Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure that Elanco and its channel partners' sales force are trained and equipped with comprehensive knowledge of food animal (swine) health, disease management, and best practices, enabling them to provide valuable insights during customer field visits.
• Lead in designing the Product Experience Trial (PET) protocol and ensure customers properly conduct trials and collect data for analysis and final results reporting.

5. Diagnostic Coordination:

• Collaborate with partner laboratories to coordinate diagnostic actions and prepare results for analysis, prepare the report and cascade recommendations.

6. External Engagement:

• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to speak at, or moderate technical programs, sharing expertise in Swine with external customers in an objective, balanced, and credible manner.

7. Regulatory Compliance:

• Report adverse events and product complaints in accordance with global and local regulatory requirements (AE/PC).
• Assist regulatory with technical matters as part of product registration actions.

8. Continuous Learning and Mentorship:

• Be receptive to guidance and coaching from senior technical consultants to enhance areas of expertise and personal development.
• Become a mentor to younger/ newer members of the team, demonstrating maturity and the corporate values and behaviors.

9. Adherence to Company Policies:

• Adhere to company policies and procedures when interacting with customers and promoting products, working with integrity to protect the Elanco brand and business.

Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):

• Licensed Veterinarian with at least 10 years relevant experience. With updated license registration.
• Prior working experience in the Swine farm/ operations is preferred.

• Good understanding of local industry dynamics, including regulatory and market environments.
• Understand product launch and commercialization processes.
• Assist in clinical trial management.

• Empathy or passion for agricultural business.
• Personal Accountability with a strong drive for execution. Willing to work beyond normal working hours in the execution of VAS.

Other Information:

• Travel: Mobility, approximately 75%
• Location: Based in the Philippines and willing to be transferred to other areas.
